**This post is a bit late, but I'm playing catch-up now that things have slowed down at the office and my laptop is fixed.

Since we were both off of work and school this past Labor Day, Carl cooked a special brunch at home. On the menu? His speciality: a toasted bagel topped with lox, tomato, salt&pepper and a poached egg (this time he even added basil straight from our herb garden!).

It has finally cooled down enough to enjoy some time outside, and we took advantage by eating out on our back porch. Carl played a little guitar, we had some good conversation and took a few pictures of our growing girl.

"it's a girl" planter my mom gave us when lily was born. she planted calalilies inside, although you can't see them in this pic (the pink flowers belong to the pot beside it).
