Taking the Plunge

Today marks Lily's sixth week of life and our first real attempt at (dun dun dun!)... cloth diapering!

After researching a variety of cloth diapering options and reading up on the advantages (comfort and cost were the biggest selling points), we've decided to give it a go. We found a great deal on a dozen one-size fits all FuzziBunz and inserts on Craigslist, purchased a Bum Genius sprayer that attaches to our toilet and some Rockin' Green cloth diaper soap.

Here...we...GO!

Our Lily bean looking cozy in her FuzziBunz.
(ps. check out her yummy little arm rolls!)

So, have any of you tried cloth diapering? I'd love to hear your tips and stories!

  2. We've cloth diapered from day 10 and love it! Tip: when she starts having more solid poos from, well, eating solids... try out liners when you're out and about and don't have access to the diaper sprayer. Makes clean up so much easier! Oh, and lay them out in the sun when they're wet to erase any stains!

  3. Thanks for the tip, Kristina! I'll definitely try laying them in the sun. She had a pretty hefty poop earlier and I was happily surprised that the cloth diaper contained it all (we've been having trouble with it creeping up her back in the disposables). Thanks again for writing!
